FEARED Geelong duo Patrick Dangerfield and Joel Selwood led the Cats to a comprehensive 69-point victory over the Brisbane Lions at Simonds Stadium on Sunday.
The midfield pair picked up 61 disposals (Selwood 35 and Dangerfield 26) between them to steamroll an undermanned Lions outfit who hung in the contest until early in the last quarter.

A wasteful 2.8 from Geelong in the third quarter kept the margin less than it should have been, but a six-goal last quarter stretched the lead at the final siren with Geelong 18.17 (125) to the Lions 7.14 (56).
Dangerfield was explosive, kicking a long goal after the siren at quarter-time and using his acceleration and strength to break clear from stoppages, before being sent forward for much of the second half while Selwood did what he always does, winning clearances through sheer will.
Dangerfield finished with three goals and five clearances while Selwood had 14 clearances to vie with him for three Brownlow votes.
The pair received good support from Steven Motlop, who played his best game for the season with 28 disposals, along with a bunch of consistent performers including Corey Enright, Cam Guthrie, Jimmy Bartel, Tom Hawkins and Mark Blicavs.
Local lad Tom Ruggles made a solid debut and looked settled at senior level, his only mistake for the game was giving away a 50-metre penalty in the third quarter that gifted Josh Green his 100th career goal.
