Match report: Dogs keep running to outlast wounded Magpies

Match report: Dogs keep running to outlast wounded Magpies

THE WESTERN Bulldogs have taken full advantage of a spate of in-game injuries to Collingwood players, coming from three goals down halfway through the third quarter to run out 22-point winners at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.
A hamstring injury to Taylor Adams soon after half-time added to the loss of Alan Toovey in the second quarter, leaving the Pies with just two on the bench and unable to keep up with the younger, faster Dogs who took the lead in the last term and ran out 11.8 (74) to 7.11 (53) winners.
Luke Dahlhaus was in fine form for the Bulldogs while Josh Dunkley showed plenty and kicked two goals. For Collingwood Jeremy Howe was impressive again along with Steele Sidebottom and Scott Pendlebury.
