A strong final-quarter performance has helped West Coast blow away a resilient Collingwood by 62 points at Domain Stadium on Sunday.
The Magpies never gave up and put up a strong fight at the Eagles' fortress, but the home side was able to break away at the end of the match with nine-straight goals to win 18.16 (124) to 9.8 (62).
The Eagles appeared to be walking away with ease in the first half with a 35-point lead at the main break, before the Mapies came out firing to reduce the lead to just 10 points midway through the third quarter.
West Coast forward Mark LeCras broke the game apart early with three first-half goals and he finished with 27 possessions. Teammates Jamie Cripps and Josh Kennedy also bagged three goals, with the latter's inaccuracy costing him a day out after kicking six behinds.
Adam Treloar finished with 31 possessions for Collingwood and laid 10 tackles. The injury news for the visitors wasn't good, with defender Tom Langdon carried from the field late in the third quarter.
