Match report: Cats pounce to swallow crippled Kangas

A PATRICK Dangerfield-inspired Geelong has defeated North Melbourne by 31 points at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
The Cats' 15.15 (105) to 12.2 (74) victory keeps them in the top four, while it was only the League-leading Roos' second loss of the season. The Kangaroos were hit with a major setback at the end of the first quarter, losing captain Andrew Swallow to concussion following a heavy tackle from young Cat Lincoln McCarthy.
The tight match was in the hands of the Roos early in the second term before the Cats clawed their way back into the contest, kicking five-straight goals to hold a 15-point margin at three-quarter time.
