Match report: Dogs become Giant killers to advance to Grand Final

THE WESTERN Bulldogs have advanced to a Grand Final showdown against the Sydney Swans after a pulsating six-point victory over Greater Western Sydney at Spotless Stadium on Saturday night.
The epic preliminary final was filled with plenty of niggle and Bulldogs held on to edge the Giants 13.11 (89) to 12.11 (83). Bulldog Jack Macrae kicked a clutch goal with less than three minutes to go to give the visitors the lead after scores were locked.

Giants co-captain Callan Ward was heavily concussed in the second term and was the main injury concern for the home side, while the Dogs had to do it tough without Jordan Roughead after copping a ball to his face which left him with bleeding in his right eye.
